GeneGaze ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we handle your data when you use GeneGaze (available at genegaze.app and as a native iOS application).

Your Genomic Data

Your raw DNA file never leaves your device. GeneGaze processes your 23andMe or AncestryDNA file entirely on-device using your browser's local storage and memory. No genomic data is transmitted to our servers, stored in the cloud, or shared with third parties at any time.

Data We Collect

• Waitlist email address: If you join our waitlist at genegaze.com, we collect your email address for the sole purpose of notifying you when the iOS app is available. This is optional.
• Anonymous usage analytics: We may collect anonymized, aggregate usage statistics (e.g., which tabs are viewed most often) that cannot be linked to any individual user or genome.
• Crash reports: Anonymized crash/error logs may be collected to improve app stability. These contain no genomic data.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your raw DNA file or any genetic variants
• Any health, medical, or genomic analysis results
• Device identifiers linked to genomic data
• Location data

Third-Party Services

GeneGaze does not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We use standard web infrastructure (Cloudflare CDN, Vercel hosting) for app delivery only.

Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are deleted upon your request or within 30 days of the app's public launch, whichever comes first.

Children's Privacy

GeneGaze is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
